Standards & governance

One standard. Written exceptions.

The industry standards behind our work, and how deviations are requested, reviewed, and signed off.

Foundations

Built on industry standards.

Blackvault thresholds are safety margins layered on top of these standards — never substitutes for them, and always at least as conservative as the industry minimum.

Structured cablingANSI/TIA-568 · ANSI/TIA-598 · BICSI 002Distance limits, cable categories, pathway design

Enforcement

How deviations work.

  • Any departure from an approved standard requires a written request
  • An engineering review against the relevant industry standard and safety margin
  • A signed decision before construction or procurement proceeds
  • Approved exceptions can be elevated into the standard catalog after a successful pilot
